Dutch Poultry Expo 2019 is a new trade event with its origins in the former Landbouwdagen Intensieve Veehouderij (LIV, Intensive Livestock Farming Agricultural Days) in Hardenberg and Venray. A national trade event aimed at the poultry sector. Suppliers from the Netherlands and the German and Belgian border regions present themselves to (among others) regular and organic poultry farmers, their partners and assisting family members. Also for staff and (agricultural) students, who will be inspired into action.
When: Tuesday 19 March and Wednesday 20 March 2019

H2H Euthanizer
There is a need for methods of on-farm killing of non-viable animals that can be employed by the farmer himself. In response to this need, the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality sought expert advice. The expert group advised various euthanasia methods for different groups of animals. For the on-farm euthanization of poultry, electrocution is among the methods advised.
Conditions for euthanasia by electrical current are that the current administered must flow through both the brain and the heart and the current intensity must be sufficient to make the method irreversible. Top Equipment BV has developed an electrocution device (H2H Euthanizer) that allows poultry to be killed in a controlled way.
Top Equipment will exhibit and introduce the *H2H Euthanizer at the VIV Europe 2018, 20-21-22 June.
